Microsoft’s Xbox 360 vs. The Sony’s Playstation 3

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Microsoft has tried to catch up with some of the titans of the gaming world, such as Sony with the release of the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 offers many new features that players will love:

Free limited subscription to online gaming – This allows players who have not been participating in online gaming a chance to see what is available at no charge. All Xbox 360s come with Live-aware – This means you can get a friend invite or see who is online and what they are playing from your Xbox 360. The button in the middle of the controller makes all this very easy.

It offers great media features including listening to music while you play games, the ability to create custom playlists and your own custom soundtracks, the ability to rip songs from original CDs to your Xbox 360 and stream music from your MP3 player to your Xbox 360. You can also create slideshows of photos to share with friends and family. Xbox 360 has a wireless controller. No more tripping over the wires, although it can support two wired controllers through USB ports in the front. The game console is not only great for gamers, but developers as well. It is a powerful machine with an unprecedented amount of RAM – a feature added on the request of developers.

But, Xbox 360 still has some problems that need to be worked out:

Their Japanese third party support is lacking – While some Japanese developers offer software for the Xbox, it is small in number when compared to what the same developers offer for Playstation. While the controller is wireless, it eats batteries rather quickly. Standard alkaline batteries only last about thirty hours, so if you buy Xbox 360, invest in rechargeable batteries to save yourself some money in the end. When they were set up in WalMart stores before days before the launch, many suffered what is known as the Xbox “360 screen of death,” an error screen. The Xbox 360 had also had some problems with overheating. Some report the XBox 360 System as being very noisy when playing an Xbox 360 disc.

Many people are eagerly awaiting the release of Playstation 3, which may occur as soon as November of this year. It has been said that the Playstation 3 has an outward feel (which allows it to stand vertically or horizontally on its own), as opposed to the Xbox 360’s inward feel. It is a much larger console than the Playstation 2 and closer to the original size of the Xbox. Game discs slide into the console like CDs slide into a car player.

Here are a few attractive features of the Playstation 3:

It is always on, so you can access your Playstation 3 from anywhere as long as you have an Internet connection. With a Playstation Portable, you can connect to your Playstation 3 and transfer media such as music and movies. The Playstation 3 appears to be much more powerful than that Xbox 360, Ninetindo Revolution, and Playstation 2. Initial reports say it will be twice as fast as the Xbox 360. Developers and publishers of over 230 games have announced titles for Playstation 3 games.

Here are a few reported cons and problems with the Playstation 360:

Comes with only 256 MB, less than the 512 MB the Xbox 360 will come with. Their Playstation Network Platform (the online service) is still in development and may not be ready by the time Playstation 3 is released.

The launch of the Playstation 3 has already been delayed due to disk problems.

Both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 are incredible gaming consoles. It seems that although the Xbox 360 came out first, the best bet is still the Playstation 3. The strongest point of the Xbox 360 is its online functionality, but Sony may be working on something similar to Xbox Live right now. However, Microsoft is closing the gap with Xbox 360 and probably will eventually catch up with Sony in gaming consoles. For some users, it may come down to something as simple as which one is more compatible with the games they already own.

Xbox 360 Wholesale List: Scams Revealed

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

By now you should know that getting an Xbox 360 wholesale list on the Internet is pretty easy and simple. There are thousands of websites advertising every kind of distributor list on the Internet for the sole purpose of getting you, well in a way- the so-called distributors. Many of this sites promise you that you can earn $100,000 a year and there are even many sites that guarantee you over $500,000 a year in offline and online income profits by just purchasing their so called magic pill formula for retail success.

Let me tell you from this start that the only way for getting wholesale distributors that specialized directly with wholesale Xbox games is through an expert that has been In the business of wholesale for years. This days, with the economy getting worse and families financial situation growing to great extends-it is obvious that will still be thousands of people selling you worthless crap on the Internet for the sole purpose of making a buck out of your hard earned money. I have bought from all of this scams online and from the majority of the website and auction owners that carry the so-called keys to financial freedom by purchasing from their sources.

As a long time wholesale entrepreneur, I have found hundreds of outdated contacts and plenty of headaches to be counted upon right now when it comes to getting reliable, trustworthy and profitable wholesalers and distributors that deliver you both the lowest possible prices online and the best delivery time. As you many of you know by now, you can just go to Google Adwords and see a lot of promotions in regards to people selling list, you can go to Yahoo search marketing and see a lot of advertising all the right side of your screen as like Google. I have secretly bought from all of them. The results for many of them are basically the same. It is incredible the amount of copyright infringement you can see online with many sites. In fact, I had to deal with one guy who was copying my complete business and had to actually call the hosting company in order for having them suspended. Astonishing, but true- many people are just too lazy and many of them want to steal your money by doing just nothing. It happened to me, it might happen to you if you do not read from trusted sources or entrepreneurs that can offer proof of what they are talking and writing about.

Fact is, you need an Xbox wholesale list that will get you the greatest wholesale prices for consoles, games and accessories. Whether you are a serious businessman or just a plain addictive soul to video games like myself, you need reliable wholesale sources that will get the job done when it comes to savings or being profitable. With such message said, I wish you the best of success and the greatest desires you may have financially- achieved.

What does it mean when it says "put in xbox 360 console when it is in a 360 console"?

Monday, July 27th, 2009

I just bought a used fifa 08 game at F.Y.E. I put it in and it said, "to work put in a XBox Game Consoles Amazon.com’;return true;” onmouseout=”self.status=””>xbox 360 console and it is already in a 360. Should i return it or is there something i could do?

It means the 360 is reading the game as a DVD movie, instead of an Xbox 360 game. If it is only that game that does it, and it still does it after you clean the disc, then it may be a bad game. If it is multiple games, then try using a lens cleaner on the 360.

Can you buy XBOX 360 Live Arcade games at any gamestore?

Monday, July 27th, 2009

I just bought an XBOX 360 a few hours ago and I was wondering if you could buy XBOX Live Arcade games or Originals or anything in that category at any gamestore (i.e. EBGames, Gamestop, etc.) because my parents can be really snappy when it comes to buying things online.

There are a few games that’s available in stores, but they all come in a bundle. You can’t pick the games you want. You have to buy the entire bundle.

If your parents are worried about online theft, you can buy XBL points instead of using your credit card.

What are some really good xbox 360 accessories or games that are out right now?

Monday, July 27th, 2009

I have COD4, GTA4, Rock band 1,2, and Soul Calibur 4
OK, i;ve had halo and fight night. and by the way, is lego batman good??:

1.) Ninja Gaiden 2
2.) Gears of War
3.) NCAA Football 09

I don’t really like any of the Lego games (Batman, Indiana Jones, Star Wars). They start off alright, but become boring quickly. I’d only recommend them if you want some easy achievement points, or need a game to entertain someone who doesn’t play games often (young children, the elderly). Also, the characters don’t talk…they just grunt or giggle or make stupid noises.

Ninja Gaiden 2 – It’s a fast-paced action game with a ridiculous level of violence (TONS of blood, severed limbs, decapitations). Which, considering the games you have (COD4, GTA4 & Soul Calibur 4) , shouldn’t bother you too much. If you liked God of War for PS2, you’ll LOVE this game.

Gears of War – It’s a shooter game similar to Halo, except it’s from a 3rd-person perspective (the camera is behind the character). Some people prefer it over Halo. Also, the sequel comes out in November, so you could probably find a good deal on this one somewhere.

NCAA Football 09 (or Madden 09) – Personally, I think NCAA is the better game, but you can’t really go wrong with Madden. I’d say get Madden if you play against other people a lot; get NCAA if you’re playing against the computer more often.

All of these games have demos available for download on Xbox Live…check them out…

hello there, question regarding xbox 360 (premium console)?

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Hi there,
I have got a XBox Game Consoles Amazon.com’;return true;” onmouseout=”self.status=””>xbox 360 ( premium console not the elite one..), and i have a 42" plasma HD tv( Hitachi)… I have only one HDMI input in my tv, so can u suggest what kind of cable i require to connect the Xbox 360 to the tv for HDMI.. currently it is in the ypbr port..
2) i also have a panasonic home theatre ( SA Ht 545) and a digital set top box..with no HDMI input/output in any one of them..
3) How can i configure all of them together to get the best picture and audio experience, without having to change cables all the time..
4) i am not tech savvy so please explain in very simple language and any pictures would be more than welcome..

Thanks
Ani

To connect the console to the TV using HDMI, use an HDMI cable. They are all the same. An expensive cable will work as well as a cheap one. Microsoft makes an adapter for use with a home theater system that you can use for the speakers. It can use either optic or the yellow and red cables.
