THIS IS A CASE MODIFICATION AND NOT A HACK TO PLAY PIRATED GAMES OR DODGY BACKUPS
Remember the frist video I uploaded with basic Aurora lights and XCM fans? They are now binned and replaced with very bright Cold Cathode Tubes.
This is a reboot to my Jasper console, and this upload will very quickly show you how much work goes into creating a modification like this.
I’ve skipped a few things as they can be easily goggled (opening the case, applying Thermal Paste etc).
Console was modded with the following:
# XCM Ocean Blue Complete Case
# Chrome DVD Benzel
# 4x 4″ Cold Cathode lights: Cut by my Dad
# Talismoon Whisper Max Fan
# Crystal Fan Duct
# Fan Shroud Mod (Improves Airflow)
# Heatsinks Added to RAM chips
# Custom Blue RF Board
# Arctic 5 Silver Thermal Paste
# Custom Cut Chassis: Cut by my Dad
# Insulation Tape
The one thing which is not shown in the video is how I glued the Cathodes to the Metal Chassis. I glued them, VERY CAREFULLY with a tiny bit of superglue, held them in place for 10mins before I put the case back together.
The console was bought brand new as Arcade on January 2009 and modified straight out of the box.
Total cost to complete the mod came to:
£180.00 (not Inc time to complete)
